Is this a clear indication of how religion and spirituality was an integral part of evolution?

There is a definite evolution of religions. That one belief system over time grow and change into other views and dogmas. But I would not take it further than that, I can't see any proof that a belief system made one tribe of people survived over another purely because of religion. I can say that there is proof over the course of human migration that a faith in the ability to survive maybe played a part. I would call it the human spirit, and hope, but not a religion no.
