Do you think Honeymoon registries are tacky?

They are incredibly rude and improper because no one is obligated to pay for the honeymoon except the couple themselves. If they can't afford a trip, then they go on a less expensive trip they can afford to pay for themselves and save up for the other trip down the road. Their guests are never required or expected to pay a dime toward it, no matter what anyone else says. Most people who care about proper etiquette and good manners agree and they don't think it's a good idea either and are rightfully offended by the idea of guests paying. Honeymoon registries tend to be very popular at Y!A but not everyone here has good judgement and thus think they can do anything they please just because the majority tells them it's ok while they completely brush off the ones who tell them that it's not.
